White Paper: Build vs Buy

Here is the first White Paper that I’ve done since working at Bamboo Solutions. In a nutshell, the “build vs buy” debate within SharePoint basically defines the industry that I’m currently in. Here at Bamboo, we specialize in products and services that help further the SharePoint experience, so needless to say, we side with “buy.”

Here are four of my favorite pieces that I’ve done, to date, at Navy Federal Credit Union. I enjoyed these respective campaigns because each of them allowed the graphic designer and myself the time to really brainstorm a creative and captivating concept. As a copywriter, it’s always ideal to have the time and available resources, such as a talented designer, to really get the advertising message across. I felt like that’s exactly what we were able to do with these ads.

RCN September Newsletter – 2012

At RCN, the Marketing department would do bi-monthly email campaigns, which were both sent to EXISTING customers, and served as an up sell tool. In the newsletters, we would highlight everything from FREE previews for various sports packages, PREMIUM channels, as well as international channels. The newsletter was also useful as a way of highlighting various local events that were occurring in each serviceable market like New York City, Chicago, DC, Boston, Philadelphia, and more. This would result in us producing multiple versions, but it was worth the labor because it gave customers the satisfaction that RCN was “in the neighborhood.”
